Lavi Program JCT-Derech Chaim
We’re proud to announce the launch of the Lavi Program, a new joint initiative from the Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT) and Derech Chaim.
Lavi is a Torah-intensive Hesder program for English-speaking young men seeking to combine meaningful Torah learning, rigorous academic study, and impactful army service — all within a supportive environment tailored to their needs.
Program Highlights:
- Morning seder in English in a dedicated Beis Medrash
- Afternoon and evening academic studies through JCT’s International Program (ESP)
- Full military deferment during the academic period
- Personal mentoring, Shabbatons, chavrusas, and workshops
- Option to fulfill army service through your degree
- Opportunity to join a combat unit
Who is the program for?
- Ages 17–26
- Torah-committed men
- Graduates of yeshivas in Israel or abroad
- Students with limited (to full) Hebrew proficiency
Location: JCT – Machon Lev Campus, Jerusalem
Start Date: Elul 5785 / Fall 2025
