November 1st

Important Reminder!!
Starting November 1, winter headlight regulations go into effect in Israel to ensure better visibility and safety on the roads. Here are the main rules depending on your vehicle type and where you are driving:
* Intercity roads: All motor vehicles must drive with their headlights on during both day and night through March 31.
* Within cities: Buses, taxis, and heavy commercial vehicles are required to keep their headlights on even on city streets.
* Motorcycles: Riders must keep headlights on at all times, on all roads, throughout the entire year.

Why is this necessary?
Winter conditions (such as rain, fog, and darker days) make roads harder to navigate and significantly reduce overall visibility--increasing safety risks for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike.
Driving with headlights on during the winter months is necessary to improve driver visibility and make vehicles much easier for other road users to see.

Can I be fined for not doing it?
100 NIS + 2 points
